Team Fundraisers

As a way of saying "thank you" to the volunteers the Charity hosted a huge Thank You barbecue on Saturday 21 July. They were invited to enjoy the lovely weather, partake of lots of delicious food and drink and were also able to meet all the other Trustees. Isobel Howard, who is Wayne's mother, and chairman of the trustees said, "The volunteers provide a vital role in the running of the Charity and it is wonderful to be able to recognise their support in this way"

Why they need our service

The highlight of the day was a presentation by Southampton City Councillor Lee Whitbread who presented each volunteer with a beautiful scroll Certificate acknowledging their commitment and special achievements. After presenting the certificates Cllr Whitbread said, "It was a great pleasure and privilege to play a small part in helping recognise the achievements of the volunteers who carry out such sterling work".

Plan and expected results

The Charity is always looking for new volunteers - if you are local and could spare a few hours a week do get in touch with us. You can also help us to help our volunteers by way of a donation. Volunteers not only work in our Charity Shop, but also undertake other activities such as administration and fundraising.
