I am walking on Leeds Liverpool Canal 4/4/20 to raise much needed funds for AWARE. The walk is from Saltaire to Bradley and back. I only have 6 weeks to improve my fitness levels so I honestly don't know if I can manage 26 miles but my intention is to get to Bradley (13 miles) and hopefully make the return walk too! We became members of AWARE a few years ago when our son was going through a diagnosis for autism, AWARE has been like a lifeline to our family and makes such a difference to so many families.

AWARE (Airedale and Wharfedale Autism Resource)
improves the lives of people affected by autism and increases public knowledge and awareness of autism. AWARE has over 300 family members who benefit from monthly newsletters, parents meetings, weekly youth club and many other opportunities to get together and gain support from each other. The children have opportunities to develop social skills, make friends and enjoy activities in an understanding and safe environment. Siblings and friends are also welcome making it accessible to the whole family.
