Walking on Coals for Tortworth Forest Centre

We are a group of brave fire walkers about to embark on our first ever walk on hot coals, to raise money for Tortworth Forest Centre and their work with people in recovery. We are taking part in the Autumn Equinox Fire Walk on 22 September. Why? We believe that the work of the Tortworth Forest Centre is important for the health of the woodland, as well as the many people who volunteer there. People from all walks of life volunteer time and energy to restore the woodland from neglect and in doing so improve their own physical health and wellbeing. All funds raised will pay for volunteer days for individuals in recovery from addiction to learn about woodland management and continue the important work of restoring this unique historic woodland. Now I have found the perfect opportunity to do it for an amazing project that has turned many lives around. I love Tortworth does there for so many. Bec Cork "Well you all know I am a little biased about this project, but it is so close to my heart and I see the positive effects that the woodland has on people. I just want more people to be able to go. It costs £85 for a minibus to take volunteers up, volunteers who don't necessarily have their own transport, so the bus is essential to breaking down barriers to participation.
