Ethiopian community running/walking in order to raise money to support Fairfield House in Bath. Fairfield House was the home of Emperor Haile Selassie when he took refuge in the UK because the Italians had occupied Ethiopia in the 2nd World War.
When he left, he gave the beautiful building as a gift of thanks to the people of Bath for the hospitable welcome they had given him. It has become expensive to maintain, so Friends of Fairfield House are working to preserve and protect this legacy.
