On Sunday 17th March a team from Warwickshire County Council took part in the first ever Warwick Castle Half Marathon, in support of Warwickshire Corporate Parents Association. Running the 13.1 miles were 81 people, including friends and family of Council staff. Part of the funds raised will go to The British Heart Foundation, who organised this new event. Warwickshire Corporate Parents Association (also known as "Tiffin Club") exists to support our looked after children and young people. It is a new registered charity seeking to make a difference in individual lives.

We offer individual support through mentoring to encourage looked after children to go for their goals. Through work experience we given them the chance to explore how they can develop their skills towards a career path and experience the world of work. We are committed to giving looked after children the opportunity to get an apprenticeship. Through 1:1 tuition support will be given to develop skills for life.
