Hello, I'm Lois Wild and I work for St Petroc's Society. Me and my dad Steve Wild are swimming in St Petroc's Swimathon 2016 at the Dragon Leisure Centre in Bodmin on Saturday 21st October to raise funds for St Petroc's Society.
St Petroc's is a fantastic local charity doing excellent work with single homeless people in Cornwall. We are pleased to be swimming for them and raising funds to support their work.
During the swimathon we shall swim a length at a time in a relay with our team for an hour. The team with the most lengths counted are the winners.
Sadly homelessness is a big issue in Cornwall which currently has the 5th highest number of rough sleepers in the whole country! Anyone can become homeless and St Petroc's Society is there to support people who find themselves in this position.
Thank you for reading this, and please now either:

- Swim with us (5pm start)
We shall aim for a mile overall, that's 66 lengths. How about sponsoring us 10p per mile? That's £6.60.
It is currently 'Grow your Tenner' for one month where donations up to £10 are doubled! So if you sponsor us £1 it grows into £2! Double your money! It's hard to refuse. Your money really does make a difference here in Cornwall.
£10.00 Buys a personal hygiene pack to include essential toiletries
£25.00 Buys cutlery, crockery, small electrical items for a resident to move on
£30.00 Buys a Safe Sleep Box
We shall keep you posted with how we get on.... watch this space!
