Provide support to Afghan women in accessing the existing services. The Afghan Women's Empowerment Group aims to empower Afghan women by improving socio-economic, education and health issues for their successful integration in the UK.Our aim is to develop the capacity and skills for Afghan and other refugee women who are socially and economically disadvantaged who live in West Midlands specifically in Walsall by the advancement of education, health facilities and opportunities.
Why they need our serviceAfghan CW helps the women overcome isolation and become more confident in integrating into the wider local community. To increase self esteem we run short courses on healthy eating, baby massage, growing veg, cycling.
Plan and expected resultsWe currently teach 20 ladies from Afghanistan. Many were helped to access children centers, libraries, health centers and public transport.
