WWP is a new project that includes improving the path and make the woodland area (at the end of Meadow Lane, leading to the recreation fields at the end of Orchard Lane), a wonderful place for all our community to enjoy.
Why they need our serviceWE want to lay a woodchip path, plant up and generally improve the community woodland. We would also like to purchase fruit trees, plants, raised bed, bulbs, bird boxes, etc, to make a positive impact on the environment, by encouraging wildlife such as bees, birds, bats, squirrels and butterflies to the area.
Plan and expected resultsWe want to encourage more local residents to volunteer to develop and take ownership of this new project. By clearing litter, brambles, and dead branches from the pathways, creating 'community planting' areas with an environmental focus, installing picnic areas, including tables and bench sea, Laying a woodchip path through the woods, working with local residents, local schools, and Children Centre.
