Team Fundraisers

Our Aim is to raise £25K to send seven scouts from the town to the world Scout jamboree in Japan in 2015. This team of young people aged 14 to 18 from the Bishop's Stortford area have been specially chosen to take part in a unique event shared by 40,000 others from across the world - an historic occasion with even more participants than the London 2012 Olympics.

Why they need our service

Together they will get the opportunity to live, learn and share in a truly global experience. The purpose of this event is to bring together young people from nations across the world to help them learn and respect each other's customs, cultures and traditions. The aim is for participants to develop a sense of respect and tolerance for those who have different traditions, values and ways of doing things and then later share what they have learned with others.

Plan and expected results

The aim is for participants to develop a sense of respect and tolerance for those who have different traditions, values and ways of doing things and then later share what they have learned with others. We hope the Scouts will play a proud role representing Bishop's Stortford and that our communities can in the future benefit from what they learn.
