Yoga therapy sessions for adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities and their carers. Yoga sessions are held three afternoons per week.

Why they need our service

Yoga improves mental and physical health through participation in regular exercise sessions, helping to raises confidence and self esteem. The sessions are held at DRUM, ensuring that local disabled people and their carers have access to regular exercise, in a safe and friendly environment. The sessions reduce isolation and loneliness, which many disabled people experience.

Plan and expected results

Provide low cost activities to adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities and thier carers. Improve mental and physical health, by providing gentle yoga classes three times a week. Provide respite to carers, so that they can have a day break or continue working but can join in if they wish too. Members and carers can regain independence and boosting self esteem and confidence.
