This is personal to me. After years of living with psychological domestic abuse and coercive control i finally got the courage to speak 1 year ago after what was to be the final physical assault.Until you walk the walk it's difficult to understand the trauma and the fear of telling.
La Dolce Vita helped me with emotional, practical, legal support to enable me to recover. I was fortunate to avail of their counselling services.
Since I found my voice I have become aware of the levels of domestic abuse in my town. I was fortunate also to have great family support which a lot of people don't have.
This is my way of showing my gratitude to Donna as I am now a survivor. Thank you for the life I have now so I want to give back to la Dolce Vita's vital service. I am asking for any donation as it will be a great help to another victim. Thank you, Ann
