We serve in some of the darkest and most broken places — and yet what we see God doing behind bars is awe-inspiring. Over recent years, our reach has grown from the region to the nation, giving us the opportunity to share the gospel with thousands of prisoners through our Stories of Hope packs.

These packs have become one of the most effective evangelistic tools we’ve ever used. Each one shares the gospel and real stories of transformation, bringing light, encouragement, and faith to men and women behind bars.

We now provide 89,576 packs every year to 94% of prisons across the UK — reaching around 23% of the prison population every three months. That’s the equivalent of filling St James’ Park in Newcastle nearly twice a year with people hearing a message of hope.

What’s in a Stories of Hope pack?
A worship CD, a gospel explainer such as Why Jesus?, a 90-day devotional, a prayer journal, a testimony of God’s work behind bars, and a creative, interactive faith activity. Each element is designed to help prisoners encounter Jesus and begin a journey of transformation.

£20 a month provides 120 Stories of Hope packs over a year. With our match funding through LocalGiving, this is doubled to 240 packs — each one a beacon of faith and transformation.
