Bringing together a group of young people to represent their peers in Greater Manchester and ensuring a youth focus is always present in the development of Greater Manchester Youth Network.

In order to ensure the work of Greater Manchester Youth Network is meeting the need of the community, and in particular its younger members, it is vital that we have input from the people we intend to benefit.For this reason we have established a youth board that is open to any young people who live in Greater Manchester and want to have a say in how GMYN operates and the type of projects and activities we run. The youth board members will gain lots of experience and transferable skills.

By the end of 2012 we hope to have an established youth board that is an integrated part of Greater Manchester Youth Network and has representatives from a diverse mix of backgrounds.The Youth Board will carry out consultations with the wider youth community in order to ensure Greater Manchester Youth Network is planning projects that best meet the needs of young people, resulting in targeted activities and opportunities that will really engage young people.
