Riff Raff Supporters Steve Price and Steve Craven told me about some of the amazing work this small Manchester charity does. I just love what they stand for - Help for the common man when things go tits up. Could be you, me, any of us. I respect that and I'm ready to step up and take a hit for the current cause.
Boxing - Previous fight experience
I'm the third oldest of six brothers so my scrapping C.V is pretty much all about family rucks. We fought over who goes in net, who gets the top bunk or purely just to kill time in between episodes of 'Why don't you' & 'Kick Start'.
I'm excited about the fight as everyone who I know that has done it has said what a buzz it is. I'm going into it as the underdog. i've been warned by the organiser that Steve is a bit tricky so i'm gonna have to train really hard to make a fight of it. Having met Steve and thinking what a nice guy he is it's going to be strange having to punch someone you like but i am really looking forward to buying him a pint afterwards whatever the outcome. For me Matthew Rimmer is the winner on the night.

Mat's Story
12 months ago Mathew Rimmer, suffered a devastating brain hemorrhage caused by a heart infection. He was on life support in a coma for two weeks, following emergency lifesaving brain surgery. The Riff Raff went to visit him recently and were really inspired by his spirit. He he is facing a real battle to get anywhere near back to a decent standard of living but there are no set in stone restrictions to how far Mat can develop. He needs expensive specialist speech therapy and movement physio, such therapies cost £100 per session and to really progress Mat needs alot of sessions and the Riff Raff can really drive this.
