The Youth Transitions Network run by Action Acton and funded by The Big Lottery is aimed at 16-24 year olds from Ealing, Hounslow, Hammersmith & Fulham and surrounding boroughs. We provide intensive 1-1 support for young people who are about to or have already left custodial institutes in the past 12 months or are leaving care. We support these vulnerable young people in gaining employment, training and educational opportunities as well as building up their own network of contacts and organisations in their boroughs that can assist with any barriers to employment such as homelessness and substance misuse.
8 of the young people who have received support through the YTN have volunteered to fundraise and give back to Action Acton by taking part in Warrior race, a 5K obstacle course featuring zip wires, slides and tunnels. We will run in a team carrying a log around the course...and we will all get very muddy and wet!!! http://www.warrioradrenalinerace.co.uk
Please support the YTN and the great work of the young people who are taking part in this event by giving however much you can. Any money raised will go towards supporting young people who have left care or custody to improve their future prospects and gain employment and training opportunities.
