Hey friends,

As some of you may know in January this year, life threw me a curveball...cancer!! Yep, that unexpected guest that nobody wants, who was definitely not pencilled into my planner! Post-surgery, I've been on a mission to bounce back stronger, adopting a blend of natural and holistic healing methods.

So far so good, my latest PET scan & blood tests came back clear with no signs of cancer, which is AWESOME & a huge relief. However, my oncologist has suggested traditional “mop-up” chemo.  With only a 15%-20% chance of any benefit, after much research, I have decided to continue with what I am doing and not risk any further chronic illness or nasty long-term side effects associated with traditional treatment.

In my search for alternative treatments I discovered a local clinic offering Mistletoe Therapy. It turns out it’s not just for awkward Xmas encounters, but is an ancient homeopathic medicine and time-honoured cancer treatment.  Despite the treatment being FREE - sadly, this holistic therapy does not receive traditional funding, which means the clinic at beautiful Camphill runs on good old-fashioned donations.

So here’s the deal: I’m kicking off my fundraising endeavours by taking part in the Aberdeen Kilt Walk alongside my amazing mama, my awesome friend Sandie, and mum's friend and my Reiki guru Carole to try and raise money for the clinic.  Any contribution you make not only helps me and future patients, it will also support the pioneering work of the doctors and nurses at the Camphill Wellbeing Trust, home of Mistletoe Therapy UK.

Make your donation and together we can spread the word and prove that Mistletoe is not just for Xmas!

Here are some recent pics of me, my wonderful mama & my most dedicated carer, & my two awesome humans. The first 3 are us celebrating the clear PET scan!  Then Milo, Maya and I in Edinburgh last month watching the 6 Nations (both rugby-obsessed) and the last one was me two weeks ago getting my Mistletoe infusion.
