Mistletoe Therapy Fundraise

Hey friends, 

As some of you may know as 2024 dawned, life threw a curveball my way—cancer!! Yep, that uninvited guest that nobody wants and was definitely not pencilled into my planner! Post-surgery, I've been on a mission to bounce back stronger, adopting a blend of natural and holistic healing methods because, let’s face it, Mother Nature knows best.
This seems to be working well, as my latest PET scan came back clean with no signs of cancer, which is, frankly, AWESOME. Now, my oncologist had suggested traditional “mop-up” chemo, but with only a 15%-20% of any benefit, after much soul searching and research I have decided to continue with what I am already doing and not risk any further chronic illness or nasty long term side effects associated with traditional treatment.

After a lot of digging, I've discovered a local clinic offering Mistletoe Therapy. Yes, that’s right, mistletoe— turns out it’s not just for awkward Xmas encounters but an ancient homeopathic medicine and time-honoured cancer treatment. Sadly, this therapy doesn’t get a penny from the NHS and runs on good old-fashioned donations.

So here’s the deal: I’m kicking off a fundraiser and taking part in the Aberdeen Kilt Walk to try and raise enough money to cover my first year of treatment, setting the goal at approx £5000. Any contribution you make not only helps me but also supports the pioneering work of the fabulous doctors at the Camphill Wellbeing Trust.
