Team Fundraisers
I work as a Fundraiser for CCA and have raised money from 3 charities to build a Mezzanine Floor at our Silver Street Furniture Outlet. We have raised £12,900 but we are short of £2,300. We need to raise this amount of money by the 17th of March and the work needs to be started by the end of March as the £10,000 promised by the council needs to be spent / released to us by the end of the financial year.
Please can you help us to meet this short fall? If you donate towards this project through local giving they will match fund each donation you make up to the value of £10.
The purpose of CCA's Furniture Outlet is: To raise funds for CCA to provide essential furniture items to those on limited means. A mezzanine floor would double our show room space and therefore increase our income so that we can put more money towards providing people on limited means with furniture across Reading.
Their other aims are: To offer affordable good quality pre-used / restored furniture to everyone.
Increase the re-use of furniture and reduce items going to landfill.
To offer training and volunteering opportunities to those seeking a way back into the workplace. Silver Street take may volunteers who are recovering from substance misuse issues, people on long term sick leave and others with mental health issues.
We believe that having this Mezzanine floor would increase the long-term financial sustainability of CCA and enable us to meet the rising needs of the poor in Reading.
