We are an established croquet club comprising of 4 full sized maintained croquet lawns, a practice area, and a modest clubhouse. The clubhouse contains a small kitchen area with a stove, as well as an assisted access disabled toilet. This allows the club to host tournaments, and corporate events, the funds from which enable us to keep membership fees at an accessible level.
Why the community needs us
We provide people with the opportunity to play a low impact outdoor sport throughout the year. Croquet is a sport, which may be played by both young and old, socially or competitively. It is a game of skill and strategy using ones mind and not exclusively strength, thus allowing a wide range of ages to compete on level terms. Membership fees are kept low, to make it affordable. We offer free taster sessions, and provide courses and host croquet events for local community organisations.
Our impact on the community
It is hoped with the lawns, clubhouse and recently installed irrigation system, the club will be able to attract more members. This will allow us to continue to keep the membership cost down, as well as the ability to hold more events for the community.
