We provide 3 grass courts and 2 all weather tar macadam courts for year round tennis. We run club sessions through the year for players of all ages and stages of play. We offer coaching for minis, juniors and adults with sessions run by our licensed LTA Coach. We hold at least 5 social events throughout the year and are pleased to welcome new members.
Why the community needs usThe club is the only sporting venue in a large rural area and gives local people of all ages the opportunity to participate in social and competitive tennis throughout the year. The club benefits the children in the area as we offer an extensive junior coaching programme and in addition the tarmac tennis courts are used by Hackness CE Primary School for sports and recreational activities.
Our impact on the communityHackness Tennis Club brings together players from the age of 2 from a diverse range of backgrounds to enjoy physical activity in a welcoming and supportive environment. New members have the opportnity to build up their skill and confidence in playing tennis, thereby encouraging them to participate in sport on a more regular basis. The club, based centrally in a large rural community and adjacent to the local primary school, gives local people easier access to a sporting and social venue.
