Provides a social outlet & combats isolation. We give demonstrations to schools and colleges. We strive to provide high-level training so that all may be nurtured to the best of their abilities.
Why the community needs usWe offer the community an inclusive team sport whereby anybody with or without a disability, family members & friends can play alongside oneanother. This enables everyone to be on an equal par and share the enjoyment of wheelchair basketball. One of our aims is to promote this philosophy within schools, colleges and the community. We provide opportunities to take part in training which is varied and fun and the chance to progress to a regional and a national squad.Sports wheelchairs are provided.
Our impact on the communityAmong those who have begun training with us, several have reached national sporting achievements. Others have regained hope and confidence following accidents and/or illnesses. Most people play for fun & fitness and do so for many years within a sociable environment. People (and parents in particular) feed-back appreciation for our efforts and perceive future paths of potential, life skills and achievements.
