Stevenage Haven exists to provide single men and women who are homeless, aged 16 and above, and from Stevenage and surrounding areas, with emergency accommodation and the means to move forward into secure and settled lifestyles within our community.

There is a continuing homeless problem which means that our emergency hostel is normally full running at around 97% occupancy. For the last 6 years Stevenage Haven has been forced to turn away an average of 498 referrals each year due to no beds.

Nearly 70% of our hostel clients move on in a planned way. Our move-on accommodation and floating support service provides continuing support to those who need it. Many clients overcome significant life issues to achieve secure settled lifestyles.
