The aims of the Herne Bay Pier Trust is the Preservation, Renovation, Reconstuction and Enhancement of The Pier as a structure of special architectural and historical interest. All money raised / donated will help us achieve those aims.

We promote the use of the Pier for recreational purposes and as a community and heritage building for the general use and benefit of all the residents of Herne Bay and all the visitors to the town. It is open to all free of charge 364 days a year except for occasional special events or in dangerous conditions.

We have successfully completed a retail village on the Pier creating numerous jobs in over 30 mainly start up businesses. We currently have a waiting list of traders wishing to share our success and attracted over 100,000 visitors over the 2018 Summer. Our vibrant Pier has no further space so we are concentrating on improving the range of events on offer to attract more visitors before entering Phase 3 of our development plans with an extension to our historic Pier.
