The Honeypot Children's Charity aims to improve the lives of vulnerable children by giving them annual respite breaks in the New Forest, visits from our Playbus in their home communities and Christmas presents. Many are young carers, looking after a sick or physically disabled relative, taking on adult responsibilty and worry on a daily basis. Honeypot makes sure these children have a break, the chance to be children and gives them something to look forward to.

Honeypot aims to give children who are growing up in difficult circumstances the opportunity to just be children.Whether they are growing up in severe poverty, a household where there are issues with drugs or alcohol, domestic violence or they are a young carer they are missing out on many simple childhood pleasures such as learning to ride a bike, playing outside and going to the beach. Honeypot gives all its children the chance to be children, and ultimately hope for a brighter future.

We work constantly to monitor the experiences of the childrenn on our programme, through feedback reports and child questionnaires. We have found that Honeypot holidays give the children fond memories to look back on, a renewed strength and that they are more able to cope with life at home.
