Our Charity was set up by people living with HIV/AIDS and their carers .We exist to advocate on behalf of poor families affected by ill health. The charity relieves poverty and tackles ill health among the marginalised populations by providing education,training and support services. The activities include Mental health, sexual health workshops for young people, cultural dance classes, outreach activities educating community about health, IT classes for elderly. We have diversified activities to include soup club for elderly
Why the community needs us
Disadvantaged communities benefit economically,Socially and wellbeing through education,advise and opportunities to volunteer Young people supported to grow up into responsible young citizens they learn leadership skills,setting goals and confidence building. Older people have opportunity to learn Basic IT skills and opportunity to volunteer Free Dance classes relieve isolation,build confidence of young and old, experienced counsellors and qualified teachers support children and families
Our impact on the community
The socially excluded members of society are helped to integrate, they receive interpreting and translation services they are able to attend informal English class and IT training, more people build confidence to seek for help or access social and health care services and education services. Over 200 families from London will benefit directly. More local volunteers recruited, to gain employability skills a gateway out of poverty. We are empowering families to set up micro finance projects.
