The main aims of The John Clare Cottage Trust and John Clare Cottage are: To promote, celebrate and enjoy the life and poetry of the Nineteenth Century Peasant Poet John Clare; To provide meaningful and historic surroundings for general visitors to Clare Cottage; To provide educational opportunities to schoolchildren and children of all ages, including primary and secondary levels, enabling them to understand and identify the life and poetry of John Clare and linked activities;

Our work allows access to literature based activities which results in the upskilling of the local communty. We also encourage access to all arts, cultural and heritage activities.
