Our purpose is to promote play and learning for pre-school children aged 3-4yrs along with advancing education and recreation. We promote other leisure time activities for young people, men, women, older people, people with disabilities , unemployed and the rurally isolated,We want to establish and secure the development of a Nurturing Families Centre to provide preschoool provision, educational, environmental and recreational facilities and activities.

The direct benefits to our children are Personal, social and Emotional development, building self-esteem and confidence, developing a love for outdoors and the environment around them. Mixing with other children and learning in a safe, clean place. This is achieved through a wide range of activities. The direct benefits to our community is to reduce social isolation, loneliness, provide opportunities to engage in learning activities suitable to their needs, improving employability and inclusion.

We have helped many generations over the years and we have seen a steady increase in our numbers of children attending the playgroup with a waiting list at present. Past and present committee members have gained skills which have led to employment.Students have gained qualifications and employment by using Little Rascals Community Playgroup as their work placement.At present we have secured funding(£340,466.40) from Space and Place to build a new brick building in 2016.
