The society aims to consolidate the work of local historians preserving historic buildings and structures and promoting the rich heritage of Llanelli. Promoting both education and tourism for Carmarthenshire's largest town.

Promoting interest in the history of Llanelli's industrial past, its famous people and promoting the aims of the county of Carmarthenshire in attracting tourism to South West Wales.

We hope to generate enthusiasm in the heritage trails we have established in the last few years. At the moment these trails include 45 blue plaques and 9 interpretative panels with more on the way!
