To perform concerts in and around the borough promoting brass bands and musical culture, raising money for new equipment and also for various charities

Free concerts throughout the year,increased musical awareness, sense of belonging for members, who come from all sections of the community. we have several members who have disabilities and health problems and playing in a brass band encourages support. we also help other charities eg Help for Heroes, Army Benevolent Fund,cancer charities and other local charities. we run raffles and hold free concerts in our club where we encourage free use of the function room to all sections of the community.

We have qualified for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain 4 times in ten years, winning and becoming national champions in 2006! We are currently in the second section. we have a senior band of 30, a training band of over 40 and a beginner class of 15. It is free to all members including tution and all music and equipment
