MIKMA is a non-profitable voluntary community organisation of people originally from Kerala, India who are living in and around Milton Keynes. The organisation's primary focus is to preserve and promote the moral, social, cultural, educational, literary and artistic heritage of the Malayalee community in Milton Keynes. It provides a forum for its members to meet and exchange views and to foster a spirit of friendship, goodwill, and understanding.
Why the community needs usThe primary and distinguishing purpose of a cultural heritage organization like MIKMA is to bind the community together by promoting and preserving its identity, traditions, and values. Also by providing public programs through which cultural heritage can be shared, MIKMA is keen in providing a platform for new talents. It also promotes the enrichment of life and social welfare of local community in general and Malayalees in particular.
Our impact on the communityVarious cultural events organised by the community have helped members especially kids to appreciate their heritage and cultural values back home.
