Music therapy is an established clinical discipline which is widely used to help people whose lives have been affected by injury, illness , disability or emotional distress.Music therapists are rigorously trained, work under supervision with continuous professional development & are regulated by the Health Professions Council.

MSNN has enabled some music therapy to continue at a Norwich Childrens Centre in an area of 10% highest deprivation in the country. Music Therapy supports young children and families with diverse needs including special needs, emotional/behavioural, developmental issues. Their potential is unlocked, their confidence increased and family & nursery life improves using non-verbal musical play.

Music therapy has helped withdrawn children to communicate, play and learn. Angry, troubled children and their families were able to improve family and nursery relationships. Staff have noticed improvements. It has helped to motivate and support children with disabilities with their integration into nursery school life.. Parents and staff notice improvements in children's well being and behaviour after attending Music Therapy
