MWCDG is a unique and friendly project working within the local community to enhance the quality of life. Our aim is to achieve this by the provision of educational/vocational training plus a variety of services offering advice, support and recreation. Striving to protect and sustain the services offered, improving and widening objectives to cater for the changing needs and aspirations of local people.

MWCDG contributes to regeneration by providing:- A resource centre with easy access to information, advice and signposting. Community courses covering a wide range of subjects, encouraging return to learning. A venue for other organisations to hold meetings/seminars. A local office for a national charity committed to helping long term unemployed through ill health/disability, back into work. Operational hub for a new venture providing stimulating activities for people with disabilties

Over 2000 users of the resource centre per quarter. Relieving lonliness, isolation and encouraging return to learning. Between 500-750 attendees at 2012 Summer event Between 200-300 attendees at 2011 Christmas event 100+ elderly local residents enjoying recent band concert Creating a strong sense of community, relieving lonliness, isolation and encouraging return to learning.
