NBA to provide and facilitate opportunities for members of the Bangladeshi and wider communities in different areas of Northampton. Health officer will provide a range of health and wellbeing services alongside health related activities developing needs and interest programs to be delivered within Gateway Resource Centre and surrounding community facilities, including: 1 hour weekly single gender health and exercise classes for the over 50's. Also to run 2* Youth groups Sunday and Monday session
Why the community needs us
The benefit to the Health and Wellbeing group is promoting healthy living, reducing isolation and loneliness amongst vulnerable adults, addressing health and fitness to reduce the likelihood of stroke and heart attack. To run the youth group as this will help Young peoples increased knowledge and understanding of the effects and consequences of alcohol and drug misuse, anti social and criminal behaviour for themselves, families and communities. Also Advice & Guidance officer providing support.
Our impact on the community
NBA will be able to promote to the Health and Wellbeing group about healthy living, reducing isolation and loneliness amongst vulnerable adults. NBA will work together with young people to do youth projects whilst developing and supporting new and existing projects in direct training, fundraising and integrated working service provision in the community to prevent hate crime and exploring terrorism, extremism. NBA also provide a Advice and Guidance officer who is able to provide help & guidance.
