Samaritans offer confidential support around the clock to anyone that wants to talk through their problems. Callers can contact the Samaritans 24 hours a day, every day of every week, every day of the year.All the information callers choose to give remains confidential.

At Northampton Samaritans we have 100 plus trained Volunteers who use their listening skills to recognise the needs of callers and respond appropriately, sometimes just listening and letting the caller talk.Northampton Samaritans was founded over 45 years ago when, in February 1968, we received our first call.

Northampton Samaritans receive around 35,000 calls a year. Today, as well as supporting people in need, volunteers and friends of Northampton Samaritans, play an important part in community life.
