Priorswood Community Centre exists to support the residents of North Taunton. This is done by hosting a wide range of advice surgeries, providing free or low cost activities and by opening for public drops-ins.
Why the community needs us
North Taunton is an area of multiple deprivation. This means that many residents need extra support and don't always have the means to access it. Priorswood Community Centre provides a much needed community hub for residents to access advice, information and support from various agencies and organisations right on their doorstep. People often come to the centre because they don't know where else to go.
Our impact on the community
Over the last 5 years the Community Centre has gone from strength to strength, providing the much needed community spirit in an area of multiple deprivation. In 2011-12 we saw a footfall of just over 6400 which proves the need for such a resource and because of this, we now open 7 days a week.
