We aim to develop excellent facilities for the community, a place to either meet and play in the natural play area or use the exciting concrete built skate park. The project will be linked to the purposed swimming pool making the area a community hub. The facility will be monitored by youth mentors encouraging work experience and work values at an early age.

Why the community needs us

Rainworth has a population of 7,821 and hosts the local secondary school attended by the surrounding villages. The village has no teenage play facilities and limited young children's play. The lack of facilities in Rainworth is the reason why we formed our committee who are dedicated people of all ages. The project would benefit our community from the relaxing senory garden to the exciting concrete skate park the only one in the district.

Our impact on the community

We have recently secured land in Rainworth for the project. We have been given a grant of £3,330 from Lindhurst Wind Farm which enables us to take 20 young people to Adreniline Alley, an indoor skate park, help with our groups insurance and buy small ramps for the interim while we are funding for the large project. The young people of our village have come together with fundraising such as our recent Friday 13th Skate Jam in which we raised £153.
