The mission of The RendezVous is to engage young people aged 13-25 in training and education, to provide support and promote social inclusion. The centre fulfils its mission through a team of professional employees and volunteers. On offer is training in the computer and music suites, personalised guidance including housing, drug and alcohol misuse, job search, interview support and teenage parent help. The objective is to give young people skills, confidence and self, as well as mutual respect.
Why the community needs usThe Centre serves the market town of Sherborne and the surrounding villages. Its focus is education for employment, issues connected with rural isolation and homelesness. It is currently in touch with 30 young people in the NEET group and sees about 6 clients weekly seeking housing related advice.
