Restore is an innovative mental health charity supporting people to recover. We help people with mental ill-health to regain skills and confidence through gardening, woodwork, crafts and catering. Why the community needs us
One in six adults has a significant mental health condition at any one time. People who have been severely ill for some time may need support with regaining social skills, rebuilding their confidence, and rediscovering what they are good at. Restore gives people the opportunities to do all this, and be active in their communities once more.
Our impact on the community
Last year Restore worked with 844 people across Oxfordshire. We supported 107 people with mental ill-health to start paid or voluntary work, or to retain their current role. We also organise large annual community events, such as the popular Elder Stubbs Festival, in order to challenge the stigma around mental illness.
