The cinema provides an easily accessible, social event that is open to all. Villagers can meet and make new friends to enjoy film screenings in the relaxed, comfortable surroundings of our village social club. The club brings the enjoyment of the cinema directly to our village making this an activity than can be enjoyed by all and keeps our community connected and engaged, its one element of creating a lively, vibrant village life for everyone.

Bringing people together socially in the evening when they would not otherwise go out. It provides an affordable social activity with no travel costs. Meetings like this help to reduce social isolation, giving local people an inclusive meeting place that's on their doorstep.

The film evenings have been popular and numbers have increased since the first film show. We aim to increase the size of audiences to more than the current average of 40 through continued advertising and word-of-mouth. We have installed screen and sound equipment. Success to date has encouraged us to start fund-raising for our own projector. We now have a 2nd projectionist. We can offer groups their own film night
