We cater for older people and people in need. Due to the high demands of the service we have expanded and now work in partnership with 'the Heywood homeless project' providing warm meals, we provide a base to help reform offenders, and ensure placements and availability for volunteers of all ages to help them gain skills and keep them in the employability market.

We provide an inter-generational energy efficient centre for community involvement to: decrease isolation; provide help to people in need; improve sociability; improve employability skills; improve health and wellbeing; and reduce financial hardship.

During the last 12 months we have had a continuous rise in people using our service, the outcomes have been demonstrated by verbal feedback that the friendliness and companionship to the older people has improved their lives, volunteers have gained skills to help them with future employment and fundraising events have become an enjoyable and affordable activity for intergenerational residents of Heywood
