We provide opportunities for everyone - especially young people, to develop skills, experience and self-confidence through a range of activities. Sport, art, theatre and volunteering all give people the chance to meet new friends, learn something about themselves and how to give support to others. Our 290-seat Community Theatre enables us to give young people the opportunity to perform on a professionally-equipped stage, or learn the technical aspects of backstage work.
Why the community needs us
We have a long history of helping young people become skilled, capable adults. We don't put labels on anyone, we don't call things by fancy names. We provide opportunities for young people to enjoy learning new skills alongside people of all ages. For some young people, it's performing on stage that excites them. For others, it's learning the technical aspects of theatre. For others, it may be sport, or volunteering, or something else. Life's complicated enough, so we keep things simple.
Our impact on the community
We know that what we do works - because people keep telling us! Young people come back and help others because they value what we have done for them. It's that simple really!
