Service Leavers Wales are recognised as a small veteran charity, HMRC Registered for gift aid XT36214.
Founded in 2012 service leavers wales gained supporting working links with services local and nationally in wales to provide a system that was developed by a veterans own personal experiences. After leaving service life.
With the aims to reach out and empower all veterans living in wales.
To Provide co-ordinated access to services and support agencies, generic and specialist including veteran organisations, To ensure veterans get the correct support and help that is on offer that is relevant and consistent for as long as required,
Run by veterans who have first hand experience on the transition to civilian life and the problems faced for many years after. Our knowledge of what to do and where to turn is priceless for those most venerable.
We are now looking to engage veterans in to attending meetingsm Support clubs, Sporting activities, This is going to take time to establish but we will achieve it with effort.. There are over 700,000 veterans living in wales help us help them by sharing our work,
The transition to civilian life is very difficult and most can never participate and contribute positively as a civilian again,
A very high percentage commit suicide through mental health we can make referrals if necessary or self referrals to the correct veteran mental health specialists in wales through the ALL wales veterans health and wellbeing service.
The lack of information on leaving service on what to do and where to go is non existent,
If you know a veteran in trouble, A veteran struggling, No matter the problem please contact us,
We have secured working links with outside support agencies so veterans can get help locally as well as nationally,
