Why the community needs us

The hall hosts a variety of regular users. The local school uses the hall for school dinners, assemblies and extra school activites. A Pre School meet from Tuesdays to Fridays. Two Brownie units, a Guide unit and a senior section. The Women's institute, the horticultural society and the parish council hold their monthly meetings. We also have yoga, keep fit nd private dance classes. The hall can be hired for private parties. The hall is widely used and is a benefit to the local community.

Our impact on the community

The present committee, due to our own hard work in fundraising and donations from local 'givers' including assistance from Berkshire Community Foundation and Greenham Common Trust, we have replaced an old leaking roof; upgraded some of the kitchen and upgraded the regular user cupboards. Without such donations we would have had increase the hire costs or close this important facility, the pressure on the volunteer trustees has been eased and community life is preserved.
