Shillingstone Cricket club  is a long established village club based in north Dorset, offering opportunities to participate in cricket to everyone within the surrounding area. Our main aim is to include and introduce as many people as possible to the game with a specific focus on addressing barriers to participation in terms of income, background and accessibility. We run regular training sessions, social events and all our fund raising is designed to support the inclusion of everyone through development of cricket in our community. Local Giving has been a real asset to our club and has meant we have been able to start generating a culture of voluntary donations to help fund the club aims.
Why the community needs us
Shillingstone provides a real chance for everyone to become involved in playing, officiating, supporting and being part of a thriving local club. You can become more active, make new friends, develop your cricket skills and there are lots of opportunities to socialise and take part in events we hold throughout the year.

Our impact on the community
Our club now has two women's teams including an entry level provision, is redeveloping the juniors and has two adult men's league teams. There are also Sunday and midweek friendly fixtures. The club has established a long term relationship to maintain the recreational facilities within the village, and using Local Giving where our supporters and players can choose to donate voluntarily has been a real asset.
