PLYMOUTH | Counselling, Advice & Mentoring
We provide low-cost counselling to individuals, couples, carers and families in the Plymouth area. We have 30+ volunteer trained counsellors and offer a range of counselling styles and techniques to meet our clients' needs. We believe counselling should be available to everyone. We offer a high quality and flexible service to local people living in areas of deprivation. We have a sliding scale for fees and clients pay the amount they can afford according to their income bracket.
Why the community needs usWhen people suffer from common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, stress and grief. Or problems with relationships, family or self-esteem, they are unable to engage fully in community life. They may find it hard to work, bring up their families and live productive lives. Our counselling service is proven to improve mental health problems and assist clients to integrate more fully in the community, come off benefits and maintain successful and happy relationships and families.
Our impact on the communityWe use a clinicial monitoring tool to help us measure the success of our service. Our monitoring tool along with feedback received from clients via questionaires tells us that our service has prevented clients from attempting suicide, overcome the effects of emotional, physical and sexual abuse and go on to participate fully in life and the community.
