The centre provides children from seperated, divorced or one parent households a safe, friendly and neutral environment to enjoy the company, and to play with their non resident parent, who is usually their father. The non resident parent frequently has to go to court to gain access to see their children. The Centre is based in Upminster and is open every other Saturday from 9.45hrs to 12.00 noon. We are accredited by the NACCC, our national association.

With the increase in family breakdowns we are seeing a high demand for our help, and there is usually a 2-3 month waiting list. Our aim is to provide a neutral environment for contact to take place in order that trust can be re-established between parents, so that in the future they have the confidence to make their own ongoing contact arrangements away from the Centre, after approx 6 months. Without our help many children would lose contact with one of their parents, or grandparents.

During our 17 years of operation the Centre has provided a vitally important service to over 700 families who would otherwise have struggled to resolve issues of parental access to their children. Without the Contact Centre these families would have had no where else to go.
