We provide a hot meal at lunchtime, a snack at tea time and a safe, warm and dry place to meet during the day time. We are open 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) from about 10.30am to 5.00pm. STAK is run on a voluntary basis and we exist to serve the homeless, needy and vulnerable people in our community. We also run a number of clubs i.e. a computer club and support our clients in a number of different ways.

Clients who were once only recipients are now becoming net contributors to the community. Many of our clients have become volunteers, first to STAK, and second to other charities, and now feel included in the community, where once they were isolated and marginalised.

Clients feel accepted and supported by the charity which itself is accepted and supported by the members of the public.
