St Wilfrid's Hospice is an Eastbourne based hospice providing skilled and compassionate care for patients with complex needs as they near the end of life. Their work with others influences the care of those dying in hospitals, nursing and care homes. Two thirds of all patients are cared for in their own homes, 260 people each year are admitted as inpatients, 60% return home after their initial admission.

Our care is provided free of charge regardless of patients' circumstances, but the NHS only contributes 15 per cent of the £3.5 million annual running costs. For the remainder, we rely on the generosity of our supporters.
