Support 4 Sight is a registered charity which helps 4,000 local partially sighted and blind people in Essex. We provide emotional support, advice and equipment to visually impaired people and their carers, as well as those newly diagnosed with irreparable sight loss. Our current services include information and assistance with visual aids and equipment, a telephone care-line, a social drop-in session, touch-typing computer training in our computer area and a children's tactile toy library.

Support 4 Sight is the local sight loss organisation in North and West Essex. Within the last year Support 4 Sight has assisted almost 4,000 callers to its centre in Saffron Walden. Sight loss can cause people to be isolated and lead to clinical depression without appropriate support that our charity provides. Without the help, support and advice Support 4 Sight offers, many blind and partially sighted people would have difficulty in leading active and independent lives.

With the appropriate professional support our charity offers, people with sight loss can be enabled to cope with reduced vision, remain in employment, meet people with similar eye conditions, be less reliant on others for assistance and lead happier and healthier lives.
