We offer a range of therapeutic services to all, irrespective of ability to pay from age 4 to 100+
The Deborah Ubee Trust aims to promote emotional health by provide counselling to those who are otherwise unable to access it, within the London boroughs of Greenwich, Lewisham, Bexley, Bromley, Lambeth, Southwark, Newham and Tower Hamlets. We also aim to provide training in counselling and access to a range of holistic treatments. The Charity' objective is to promote the value of emotional health and well-being and offer therapeutic services to all.
Why the community needs usWe offer a service that aims to prevent people going into crisis and to promote well-being. We aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, by providing an accessible service that is open to all irrespective of their ability to pay. We have monitored that our service will reduce the need for services later down the line.
Our impact on the communityWe use evidenced based therapies and assess each client to determine the most effective therapy for the individual. The length of therapy ranges from 12 weeks to up to one year.All our talking therapies offered are fully evaluated and we provide evidence of clinical effectiveness. These include generic counselling, Psychodynamic therapy, CBT, Existential therapy, EMDR, Integrative therapy, and dance and movement. For under 18's we also have play therapy and dance and movement therapy.
