We provide opportunities to improve wellbeing, social and community connections and skills and resources in a safe supportive group setting which inspires hope and re-ignites passion for life. Working in partnership with the National Trust, we support people to connect with nature, each other and themselves through a variety of activities such as walking, conservation work, shepherding, green woodworking, wild art and much more.

Why the community needs us
People with enduring mental health issues discover nature as a lifelong wellbeing resource that's accessible, cheap and free of side-effects. People are more engaged with society and less isolated as a result of participating on Grow - they feel better both physically and mentally and become more active citizens who may be less reliant on the NHS. People who take part in Grow are inspired to connect with their communities more and contribute to them through volunteering or work.

Our impact on the community
Over the last 14 years Grow has worked with over 2300 people introducing them to the benefits of connecting with nature on both their mental and physical health. Over 85% report great or significant improvement in their wellbeing after participating in a Grow group, 89% reported greater social interaction as a result of Grow, 65% believed they would use mental health services less as a result. Many progress from Grow into training, volunteering or work and lead more fulfilled lives
